My name is Janine. I am a wife, mother, teacher, daycare provider, and homemaker. My husband and I have two beautiful children. They were born exactly 1 year and 5 days apart! While I was pregnant with our second child, we decided that it made the most sense for me to stay home full time rather than for us to pay someone else for the privilege of taking care of our children.
I am a certified teacher and taught 6th grade for about 10 years before leaving the classroom to stay home with my children. I'm still not sure what the future holds for me in regards to work, but giving my children the opportunity to be cared for in their own home (and by their own mother) is worth more to me than any amount of money.
From a very early age, I have loved making things! It is said in my family that I knew how to knit before I knew how to read! Whether that is true or not, my passion for creating did start at a very young age. I love many different kinds of crafts, but I would say my two favorite are quilting and crocheting. I love reading too!
The purpose of my blog is really just sharing -- projects, ideas, inspirations, books, etc. I make every attempt to give credit where it is due for any ideas that I share here. I hope you enjoy my blog enough to leave comments and feedback on some of my posts!
